Well, yet again I’ve decided to change my blog theme.  I try to keep things consistent, but the last one just wasn’t cutting it.  I think this flows much better.  The three column layout seems to be a better use of the space.  Also this one is just more visually appealing.  Which brings a good question to mind.  What makes a good theme?  Some prefer aesthetics as opposed to functionality, and some just don’t care what it looks like as long as it’s useful.  I’m sure most of you know though, you need to find a good balance of both.  You want enough of your own personality to be expressed, but not to the point where your visitors are overwhelmed.  And one of the last things to consider is simplicity and usability.  Because your site may have the ability to do everything and anything, but if the user can’t figure it out then your efforts are wasted.

This theme will probably stay unless I am able to find the time to make a custom one from scratch.  But as of right now, I don’t see that happening any time soon.

If you have any words of wisdom when it comes to themes and layouts please feel free to share.
