It’s about time!
Farewell all!
Well, I finally got my orders. I thought it was never going to happen. Being a recruiter has been a unique experience to say the least. Though one I’m definitely not going to miss. In many ways I found my time out here more traumatizing than the year I spent in Iraq. Although my interpersonal skills have inproved, my natural demeanor is even more introverted than ever. I will be going on leave in about a week and it almost seems too good to be true. I have already thwarted one attempt to extend my tour in USAREC. The past 3 years has forever changed my views on the military and the american public. From this point forward, I will cross my fingers that I never again dawn the title “Recruiter.” For those of you that I’m leaving behind, just keep your eyes on the light in the distance no matter how faint it may seem.
